Users with the Delete Issue permission for a given Issue Type may also archive issues. Archiving an issue will hide the issue from all users except Project Administrators. Additionally, when an issue is archived it is marked for deletion in the number of days entered in Admin/Settings “Archive time limit (days)” field. By default, this value is 180 days. The Date Modified value for the issue is updated when the issue is archived and this date will be used to calculate the date on which the issue will be deleted.
Project Administrators can view archived issues from the Search page by checking the Search Archive box. Searches with this box checked can be saved on the Project Administrator’s home page, where they can also be viewed and unarchived. Archived issues can also be deleted by administrators via the More > Mass Delete tool in an archived issue search.

To remove an issue from the archive:
- Navigate to Search > New Search.
- Check the Search Archive box.
- Enter any search criteria, as needed, to narrow the results to show the issue to be removed from the archive.
- Select Actions > Unarchive issues.
- Check the box next to any issue(s) which will be removed from archive.
- Select Unarchive Selected Issues.
