I migrated to USA at the age of 33 from India and now am very much at home here, which I would not have believed if somebody had told me 25 years ago. I am an Electronics and Telecommunications engineer by education but I have not worked in that field for the past 17 years. Before that I worked as a Lecturer in an Engineering school and taught subjects like Digital Electronics and Microprocessors. I have tried various different things after coming to the US like working as a Medical Interpreter in Hospitals for Hindi language, working in a bank where I started as teller and left as an Assistant Manager, did catering business for Indian food and also tried some Technical Writing– all when my daughter was in grade school and I wanted to be there for her for all drop offs and pickups for all her activities and play dates. I enjoyed doing each of these things very much. I love to cook. Everyone says I am a great cook and suggest to me to open a restaurant. Maybe someday! I love to travel and we have travelled to a lot of different places like China, Hong Kong, Iceland to see northern lights, Singapore and many others.
What is my favorite module in BSI? All of them. It is really hard to choose one. I love the flow BSI provides from one module to another to accomplish the goal of tracking everything about the specimens – what, when and who did it. Nothing can be hidden here.
