Spring 2016 Announcements/Newsletter

In honor of April Fool’s day, let’s begin with a joke:

Did you hear about the famous microbiologist who traveled to and collected samples for her biobank from thirty different countries, and in the process learned to speak six new languages?

She was a woman of many cultures.

Jokes aside, IMS is dedicated to constantly learning, innovating, and progressing to provide you with the best product and support we can. In aid of that goal, we are attending two preeminent international conferences in the upcoming quarter: the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo and the ISBER 2016 Conference.

The Bio-IT World conference, held this April 5th-7th in Boston, MA, will encompass more than 260 companies and groups supporting everything from research and development to clinical trials and healthcare initiatives. Along with hosting a BSI booth, we will attend programs on numerous topics, including innovative software services, cancer informatics, and data security and management. During the course of this conference, we hope to not only to showcase BSI as a frontrunner in biobanking LIMS systems, but also to expand our knowledge and practices to serve your expanding needs.

This year’s annual ISBER conference, April 5th-8th in Berlin, Germany, will focus on unifying biobanking communities. Topics at the conference this year include: challenges facing the biobanking industry, collaborative data management, biospecimen and data quality, and world policies on biobanking as they affect international cooperative research. At this conference, we will explore the most pressing questions facing you and the biobanking industry, in order to continue to grow our ground-breaking solutions to those questions. As a platinum sponsor of ISBER 2016, BSI team members will host a workshop discussing our innovations in biobanking technology, concentrating on our software systems and features, such as BioShare, which facilitate cohesive sharing of specimens and datasets with others across a biorepository network or networks.

BSI’s position at the cutting edge of biobanking technology would not be possible without your valuable feedback and cooperation. We have enjoyed collaborating with you through the beginning of 2016 to grow and expand BSI’s capabilities and in the coming months we will continue to practice the open, cooperative standard of support which has allowed BSI to consistently be a frontrunner in biobanking technology.

If you are nearby, please stop by BSI’s booth #328 at the Bio-IT World Conference or booths #37 & 41 at the ISBER Conference!
