Reflecting on BSI in 2015

By Steve Marroulis posted 12-22-2015 06:44

The past year was full of exciting change and forward momentum for BSI! In response to your feedback and requests, we have reinforced the system by adding new and refining existing functional capabilities. The 2015 year saw 11 software releases and 165 enhancements to BSI. In addition, we welcomed several new members to the BSI Team this year. These new additions to the BSI family will help us maintain a high-level of development and support as the BSI project continues to grow.

We have cultivated your ideas and suggestions to expand BSI’s capabilities in a host of concrete ways. To provide you with a singular portal for support, training and guidance, we revitalized the Users’ Guide on a new platform and created the IMS User Support website. We redesigned the BSI Data Warehouse, moving it to a web interface to provide a more user-friendly and accessible experience. Single Sign-On (SSO) is now supported by BSI and is available to customers as an enhancement to their instance. We welcomed the BSI Dashboard, combining intuitive, visual reporting with the ability to track specific requisitions and batches for processing.

Looking forward to 2016, we remain committed to growing and expanding BSI and are currently working on several new enhancements we hope to debut to you next year. We continue to look for ways to keep BSI highly competitive. A new product, BSI Hub, is in development that supports the upload and translation of data files by outside entities from the web to the BSI client. The newly developed BSI Engage, a next-generation version of BSI Web which will be released in early 2016, will include an updated user interface and split-second search functionality providing data return with a more accessible experience.

We appreciate your valuable feedback as we partner with you to keep BSI at the leading edge of the ever-changing biobanking industry. As a customer, we hope you continue to look forward to BSI’s high level of support, development of exciting new features, and devotion to honing BSI’s existing functionality in the year to come.

Happy Holidays!
