In the last quarter, new and exciting features have been introduced to BSI. The ability to use e-signatures functionality has been added to production databases. E-signatures serve as a digital affirmation that the user completed the action. Now, studies can require an e-signature from users completing certain actions on specimens within that study. Actions for which a study owner may choose to require an e-signature include: new specimen commits, specimen movements, specimen data updates, specimen deletions and/or specimen approval for inclusion in a requisition.
Additionally, BSI now supports Single Sign On (SSO) integration. This integration applies your existing SSO login credentials to BSI, allowing you to manage BSI credentials in conjunction with any other systems or programs your users may frequently access.
Looking toward the future, we will continue to expand BSI’s capabilities, as a software system and as a tool within your organization as a whole, to anticipate industry needs. As a result of this forward-looking development and support, we are excited to announce the 2017 BSI Users Group Meeting! It will be held Wednesday, April 26th through Thursday, April 27st at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve in Hanover, Maryland, located conveniently 6 miles from BWI airport.
Our goal in hosting this meeting is to provide you with new and beneficial information, techniques, and tools for using BSI on both micro and macro levels. To achieve this, the user’s group meeting will include both low level workflow aids for working in BSI every day and high level discussions of the role BSI plays in your organizations as a whole. Your organization will also be able to reserve timeslots throughout the conference and on the following day (Friday, April 28th) for individual, in-person meetings with BSI support representatives to discuss specific questions or workflows, or to receive training.
Each BSI customer will receive two free registrations for the conference, with additional attendee registrations for a small fee. More information will be made available later this year. Watch out for online registration coming soon!
