Security is a primary consideration of the BSI system.  The goal is to make the system conveniently accessible to users within a secure environment.  Since this system utilizes the Internet as its main communication medium, the design and implementation provides for multiple levels of user access control.  Passwords and defined levels of user access to the data are required for all users.  All communication between the client and the transaction server is encrypted using a 512 bit RSA public key algorithm.  The servers are maintained in a physically secure room. Some databases require SSO authentication for all or some accounts before the user can login to either the BSI client or BSI Engage.
