Requisition Task Templates

Requisition Task Templates are used to assign specific tasks, in a specific order, to be applied automatically to specimens meeting certain criteria in a Requisition batch.

Example: Mr. Klein sets of 3 Task Templates to automatically add appropriate tasks to each type of requisition his database processes.

  • Aliquot requests: A Pull task, an Aliquot task, and a Return to Inventory task are added.
  • Shipment requests: A Pull task and a Ship task are added.
  • Destruction requests: A Pull task and a Destroy task are added.

Any requisition template can have a status of Active, Inactive or Draft. Only templates that are Active can be applied to a Requisition. Users can save and then apply task templates in their requisitions.

    Requisition Property Templates

Requisition Property Templates display a defined subset of the available requisition properties and can default some data which will usually be the same for all requisitions of a particular type.

Example: Mr. Klein’s database mainly creates 3 types of requisitions: aliquot requests, shipment requests, and destruction requests. Aliquot processing only requires users to fill in details about the processing agents and type of aliquots to be created, while shipment requests only require details about the requester and type of shipment. Each type of processing necessitates a different set of requisition property details to be added, which leads to researchers sometimes being confused by the extra fields. Mr. Klein sets up 3 different Requisition Property Templates to distinguish them.

Any requisition template can have a status of Active, Inactive or Draft. Only templates that are Active can be applied to a Requisition. Users can save and then apply task templates in their requisitions.
