BSI is excited to announce the release of the BSI Dashboard!

The Dashboard will operate as a new optional start page in the BSI Client application, providing users with an immediate and comprehensive overview of their work. Furthermore, it will operate at a user level with persistence between sessions, so each user will be able to completely configure their own Dashboard.

The Dashboard is designed to act as a gateway to the system via configurable widgets that give users a simple, intuitive subset of the overall functionality of BSI. These widgets provide a comprehensive set of tools including reports, charts, graphs, tasks, batches, and even useful tips to help navigate the system more easily.

Widgets are grouped in three main categories; Assign To widgets, Reporting widgets, and Miscellaneous widgets. We’ll be taking closer look at each of these categories over the next couple of weeks, particularly at how the utilization of each widget can help streamline and bolster the use of the BSI system as a whole.

Each person that uses BSI does so in a unique way, to complete a specific set of tasks for a highly defined purpose. BSI is designed to help capture and mirror that specialized workflow, and the BSI Dashboard will contribute to this effort by providing shortcuts and robust representations of the work that is most important to its users. Using the BSI Dashboard will allow users to see items critical to their workday at a glance, whether they are a manager reviewing expected vs actual processing counts, or a laboratory technician planning out their tasks for the day.
